The Staedtler 228 is a pack of 12 Noris Jumbo triangular wax crayons in 12 assorted colours, providing the triangular-barrel, extra-thick Jumbo format wax crayon for preschool and early childhood children whose hand strength and grip development benefits from the larger, three-sided grip of the Jumbo triangular design.
The Jumbo triangular format provides two advantages over standard round crayons for young children: the larger diameter is easier for small hands that have not yet developed the fine pinch grip needed for standard crayons, and the three flat faces of the triangular barrel naturally encourage correct tri-grip positioning. The 14mm diameter is significantly thicker than the 8mm standard round Noris (220 08), making this the appropriate format for the youngest colourists. 12 assorted colours for the full primary and secondary colour learning range.
